I teach with the same care, attentiveness, and curiosity that shapes my writing. Whether guiding students through the foundations of sewing or leading conversations about craft and language, I create spaces where creativity feels both accessible and meaningful. My teaching is grounded in process, patience, and the belief that making, whether with fabric or words, is a powerful way to understand ourselves and the world around us.

Workshops for Young People

I am passionate about introducing young people to creative practice. My youth workshops are designed to build confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills through making.

  • Develop patience and attention to detail
  • Gain confidence in their ideas and abilities
  • Experience the joy of completing a project

These sessions are adaptable for schools, camps, and community programs.

Writing Workshops & Conferences

As a published poet and author, I bring depth and clarity to writing instruction. I teach workshops and present at conferences, offering insight into both craft and creative process.

My teaching invites participants to engage deeply with their own voices while building practical tools for revision and growth.

A Practice of Making and Meaning

Across every class and workshop, My teaching returns to a central idea: that making is a way of paying attention. Through sewing, writing, and shared creative work, students are invited not just to learn a skill, but to engage more deeply with their own experiences and the world around them.
